Desert Solitude

On Saturday we headed West for warmer weather and relaxation.

We had a great camping spot and didn't see another soul all weekend. The new camper was GREAT!

Dylan chopping wood for the fire. He said he was an Indian and Indians don't wear shirts.

The kids loved climbing up the rock.

Enjoying s'mores and a nice campfire.

Trying to warm up the next morning. It got pretty cold at night.

The kids spent so much time crushing rocks. They would crush the rock into powder... 'just like the Indians'.

Exploring the caves.

Drew and Dylan in a cave.

Drew and Holli

Dylan and Chewy are worn out!

Holli riding on slick rock.

Everyone had lots of fun and the kids didn't want to leave.

  1. That looks amazing. I love how there wasn't anyone around you. It cracks me up that Holli is 6 and already riding slick rock. Dylan is pretty cute sitting with his dad in a cave. Was the camper pretty cool? I think that is a nice option to tent camping.

  2. The camper was great. It is very old and does not have any bells and whistles but it is perfect for us.

  3. That sounds perfect. I wouldn't need all of the accessories. I can't wait to see it.
