Growing by No Feet

 The zoo continues to grow. We have quite a few snakes in the woods behind our house.  For a while Holli has been asking if we can keep one as a pet.  This evening while we were out walking Drew caught a Garter Snake.  We have created a habitat in the Hermit Crab's old cage and Holli has named him Hero Garter.  She is giddy! 

Fiesta Days 2011

Holli participated in her first Rodeo Event ... Muttin Bustin!  She had so much fun and we were so proud of her for doing it. 

La Plata Canyon Hike

Yesterday after work we went up to La Plata Canyon for a little hike.  Everything is so green right now and the smell of pine trees is heavenly.

Midwest Vacation

We recently had a nice vacation to Branson, Springfield and Overland Park.  We had a great time visiting with our family.  You can see photos from Branson here.   We were in Branson attending the Wilson family Reunion. Branson was a great place for a family reunion.  We played at Table Rock Lake and went to Silver Dollar City. 

The pictures from Overland Park and Springfield are here.  Unfortunately, Drew did not get to join us for this portion of the trip...  a little thing called work got in the way.  We still had a great time visiting family, seeing friends, swimming and playing with horse.

Shark Party

 This weekend we celebrated Dylan's 5th birthday with a Shark Party. We had fun coming up with shark games and shark decorations.  Dylan had so much fun playing with his friends.

 We had Miss Susie, the clown, entertain the kids for a little bit.  Miss Susie was Dylan and Holli's VBS teacher and they both adored her.

4th of July

 I hope everyone had a nice 4th of July.  We had a great time at a friends BBQ.  Here is a little glimpse of our holiday!

Red Creek Trail

We had a nice time on the Red Creek Trail today.   This trail is right outside of town and we had never done it before.  Turned out to be a great trail for the kids and dogs.

 Dylan had fun jumping over the creek.  The trail followed the creek the entire time so we had lots of creek crossings. 

There were a few nice pools that the dogs enjoyed swimming in.
