Tomorrow is the start of the La Plata County Fair. Yes, we do love the fair. We love looking at all the animals, the demolition derby, the horse shows and the carnival. This year Holli and I both have entries in the fair. Since Holli is a Cloverbud with 4-H she is eligible to enter an item in any of the categories. She choose sewing. She made a really cute pillow with ruffles. She did all the work herself with very little help from me. I think she did great!
I am entering the chocolate chip cookie contest. I have no idea who my competition will be. Fingers crossed for a ribbon!
Abby - That is awesome. Holli's pillow is adorable and I'm impressed that she sewed it. It's better than any pillow I could sew. Good luck on the chocolate chip cookie contest - that is so fun. Did you experiment with your recipe or are you using one that you've made before? Make sure to take photos. We went to the debry at the Boulder County Fair. It was fun, but I think the La Plata derby is better.
