Arenacross

Last night we went to Farmington to watch a friend compete in an Arenacross race.  

 Waiting for the race to start.  This is the same arena that holds holds Holli's rodeos.  Looked a little different last night.

We were all amazed how many riders could fit into such a tight track. We saw several accidents throughout the night.  Most of the riders were okay but one had to be carried out on a stretcher.

It's hard to see in the photo but there is a guy on a motorcycle upside down in the air.  This part was so fun to watch.

Reward Bucks!

In an effort to get the kids to behave better, we have started paying them.  Whenever we catch the kids being nice to each other (without being threatened) or they are helpful around the house without being asked, they earn a reward dollar.  After a week or so of earning, I set up a store for the kids to spend their reward dollars.  So far this method is working pretty well for us. 

 The kids have been off school all week and managed to earn quite a few dollars.  We had a store this morning and they had great fun! 

Puzzle Portrait

Grandma and Grandpa gave the kids this great puzzle for Valentine's Day.  The puzzle is made from a photo that was taken last summer in Panama City.  The kids loved putting it together. 

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope everyone has a lovely Valentine's Day.  The kids have had a good start to the day... lots of candy!  

Continues to snow here.  We leave tomorrow for Phoenix and look forward to some warm, dry weather.

Snow Day and Valentines

The kids are working on their Valentine's day cards on this very snow day.  (Rumor has it that we may get enough snow for a snow day. I think that requires at least 2 feet of snow so we'll see.)  We are making these cute Star Wars Valentines for Dylan's class. We found them here.

The best part is we can make these without leaving the house!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Holli and Drew went to the annual Daddy Daughter Dance this evening.  I think this may be Holli's favorite night of the year.  She loves having dates with Daddy.  Dinner at Tequilas and then dancing!  

Once Upon a Snowdown

Another Snowdown is behind us and it was fun as usual.  This year's them was Once Upon a Snowdown. AKA.. fairytale.

Our 4 H group sold Hot Chocolate before the parade.  They did great and sold all of it!

Trying to get Winnie on the stage for the Canine Costume Contest.  Poor girl was so scared.  The audience could see her shaking.  The biggest dog there and the biggest baby.

Our Fairy Princess.  She didn't win any trophies but she looked great.  The kids and I had fun making her costume. 

These two are dressed up as Beauty and they Beast.  So cute.  They won best costume.
