Holli just started horse back riding lessons again. Her instructor is great! The horse she is riding is Red. He is a 23 year old Appaloosa. He has been around kids a long time and is so gentle.

Dylan says...
My Bottom just said something.

I left my shoes in the car tomorrow.

Do you know what would happen if the bank sunk?
You would have to use Mexican Money.

Camping
We are now the proud owners of a 1967 Apache Camper! Tomorrow morning the Timmerman Zoo is headed to the desert to test it out. So excited to spend the weekend outside! If anyone wants to visit this summer we now have some extra space :)

A Bear in the house
A couple weeks ago we saw a photo of a very old and sad looking dog at the La Plata County Humane Society. He was still there this weekend so today we went to meet him. His name is Bear and he is so sweet. We just couldn't leave him at the shelter so we adopted him. He is a 10 year old Norwegian Elkhound. He is very easy going and sweet and spends most of the time asleep.
We are all so happy that we could give the old guy a home. At the same time we feel bad that we couldn't adopt his companion, Fallon. Bear and Fallon came into the shelter together. Their owners were moving and couldn't take the dogs. Fallon is also 10 years and very sweet. Hopefully she can find a home soon. If we could adopt Fallon we would but 4 dogs would just be too much.

Leprechaun Trap
Every couple of months Holli's class has a family homework project. The most recent project was to build a Leprechaun trap. We had a lot of fun putting this trap together. The Leprechaun climbs the ladder up to the gold and when he's at the gold Holli will release the bucket and BAM, he's trapped! Fingers crossed!

Spring Break
Last week was Holli's Spring Break so the kids and I headed to Denver / Boulder for a few days. We had a great time in the big city. We got to spend time with our BEST FRIENDS, Matt and Joanie, and do lots of exciting, big city activities.
We got to visit Joanie at the Qwest building in Denver. The building is 53 floors and Joanie works on the 50th! The kids thought it was pretty cool being so far up. The views were great. We could even see some parts of Boulder from her window.
The kids went to their first rock concert... The Imagination Movers. Our good friend, Jennifer, hooked us all up with front row seats, backstage passes and access to an after party. We had so much fun!
Our photo with the Imagination Movers. They were all so friendly.
Group photo with everyone from Durango. Mover Rich called us the 'Real Housewives of Durango'
Casa Bonita with Matt and Joanie. The kids had so much fun here. It's like a circus inside a restaurant. There was cliff diving, puppet shows, Pinatas, arcades and caves.
On the ride home... I guess Holli felt like she needed to be safe and wear her bike helmet.

Snow again
Just when we thought Winter was over we got 6 inches of snow!
So happy that Dylan finally enjoys skiing! We had a great day at Purgatory on Sunday. Several inches of powder.
On Monday we got several inches of wet, Spring snow. Winnie went for a walk in the woods behind our house and this is what she looked like when she came home. Poor Winnie! Snow just sticks to her fur. I had to cut off the big balls that were stuck to her.
Our attempt at an igloo. We built this today and it melted within a couple of hours.
